Our Story
Phakoe Farming, founded in 2000 by Christinah Phakoe with just five cattle, has grown into a thriving agricultural enterprise under the leadership of her son, Lehlohonolo Phakoe, since 2017. What started as a modest operation has expanded to encompass a diverse range of products and produce, including soybeans, sunflowers, livestock (sheep and cows), corn, charcoal, firewood, and eggs.Christinah’s journey began with a vision to build something remarkable out of humble beginnings. She recalls, “In the year 2000, I started farming here with four cows. Over the years, I worked tirelessly to expand our livestock, eventually growing to 135 cows.”
Lehlohonolo, inspired by his mother’s dedication, took the reins of the family farm in 2017. Fuelled by a desire to support his mother and driven by passion, he transformed Phakoe Farming into a model of modern agricultural success.
